A few posts ago, I’ve written about this well hidden place to hang out in Cebu. I talked about Wok’d, a Thai restaurant in that post. Here’s another entry about Streetscape– this time, it’s the biggest coffee shop in the area.
Vanille Bistro & Cafe is at the heart of Streetscape, it’s one of the biggest occupant in the area and one of the most cozy place to relax. They have a spacious second floor where guests can be comfy on their mix of sofa and soft chairs. The first floor contains their kitchen, their sweets and a big sofa for 2 sets of guests. It’s well lighted and their wifi is really good, what more can you ask for?
As a freelance worker, I am in constant search of a place to work on especially in times when unexpected things happen: power outage, bipolar internet connection and, just recently, apartment renovation. It seems the renovation would take a while and I find it a bit distracting. In times like this, Vanille is really a go to for me. My boyfriend usually tags along since the internet connection in their office is not that stable too. Unlike other known destination here in Cebu which are fully packed during Friday or weekends, Vanille is still spacious and a good place to chill, catch up with friends or, as for me, work. Here’s a shot of their first floor, looks comfy and cozy right?
They offer a great selection of cakes and pastries. We love their tiramisu cake, it’s a must try. Pair up your cake or macaroons with their coffee or non-coffee based drink. I love coffee, so here’s the photo of my coffee.
Aside from the usual cake and coffee, they are also offering pasta, ribs and all day breakfast. Their all day breakfast has a free coffee if you order from 8AM to 5PM. We tried their bacon, bangus and sausage breakfast, and also we’ve tried their pasta carbonara and baby back ribs. They are really superb! The price is around 200-300 PHP each, the serving size is huge which I think is totally worth it!
Here’s our ‘breakfast all day’ date at Vanille.
Shout out to this awesome guy for being such a supportive partner. This photo was taken in the second floor of Vanille.
It’s a great place for freelance worker and for friends who have some catching up to do, so what are you waiting for?
