Streetscape is one of the newest place to hang out in Cebu. It’s quite hidden from all the hustle of the city as it is located in Paseo Saturnino, Ma. Luisa Road, Banilad Cebu City. It’s not yet that crowded which really is a great option compared to other known places around Cebu. It has restaurants, bar, coffee shop, pharmacy, a fitness gym, spa and others. The place is not that huge but it has a wide area for parking. Sounds terrific right?
Our first visit in Streetscape is on the ECHOstore, an organic restaurant/cafe/grocery. I’ll be posting about it soon, but now let me tell you about our amazing experience when we tried the Wok’d, a Thai restaurant in Streetscape. It’s located between Gelatissimo and ECHOstore.
Wok’d is a small restaurant which has an open kitchen for you to watch how they are prepping your food up. Also, you get to see some fire exhibition. 😉 The place is a bit small but the interior design can give off that spacious feeling. It has a counter, around eight sets of table inside and four more outside. The place has a good Wifi service inside and music are also played on the background while you partake your food.
For the food, we tried the following:
1. Panang Beef with Roti
This one is really great. The beef is perfectly soft and the Thai Panang Curry added a great explosion of flavor. No wonder that this is one of their bestsellers. This costs 400 PHP.
2. Duck Pad Thai
This one is tasty and the lemon added a zesty taste into it. One thing I noticed about Thai food is that they smell good due to a combination of herbs. This one smells delicious and tastes superb! This also costs 400 PHP and is on their bestseller. Yes, we chose their bestsellers.
3. Beef and Vegetables with Oyster Sauce
This one might look like that it can be pulled off by any restaurant but I can confidently say that Wok’d’s version of this is a must try. The vegetables are cooked right. The beef are soft and tasty and every little thing about it is perfect! This costs 380 PHP. Not one of the bestsellers but you should try it, based on my review. 😉
Their rice costs 50 PHP for a good for two serving and 95 PHP for a bigger platter. We almost consumed around two 95-PHP rice platter. Almost. 😛
They are serving buko juice, soda, beer, wines and many more.
This restaurant do rock! I love their food and I’ll definitely go back there in the near future. The food are a bit pricey but I honestly think that they are worth every cent of it. The serving is also good for 2-3 persons, depending on your appetite. 😉
