Turbo Broiler: How To Roast A Chicken

I’ve never tried roasting until I got my own Turbo Broiler earlier this year. I have been experimenting with my turbo for quiet some time now and found a way to roast chicken, bake cake and cookies. Maybe the list is a little shorter now but I hope that it will definitely grow.

Today, I’ll let you on the lessons that I learned while experimenting how to roast in the turbo broiler:

  • To get that golden roast, cover the chicken with butter.
  • Turbo Time is 50 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
  • Add spices. They do make a difference.

And now, let me introduce you to my own recipe for getting that wonderful roasted chicken using a Turbo Broiler. roasted chicken

Ingredients
  1. Whole chicken
  2. 6 cloves of garlic (crushed)
  3. lemongrass
  4. spring onion (3 inches length)
  5. pepper
  6. salt
  7. thyme
  8. 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
  1. Thaw chicken 1 hour before prepping it up or use fresh chicken.
  2. Pat dry the chicken with kitchen paper towels.
  3. Season the inner cavity of the chicken with salt, pepper and thyme. Be generous.
  4. Stuff the chicken with lemongrass, spring onion and garlic.
  5. Using a sturdy lemongrass, tie the feet of the chicken to trap in juices.
  6. Season the outer part of the chicken with salt, pepper and thyme.
  7. Top it off with the butter.
  8. Preheat oven at 200 C.
  9. Roast the chicken for 50 minutes.
  10. Serve while hot.
  11. Enjoy!
Notes
  1. If you're a little bit not comfortable with too much oil from the chicken, you can let the oil drip.
  2. A friend of mine told me that the chicken is juicier when I don't let the oil drip and I use a pan to roast it.
  3. So enjoy it the best way you can!
