“I dress up for myself!”
This is what goes into my mind the moment I open my closet to select on what to wear for the day. One of the few things that I miss about being an office worker is the opportunity to dress up for the day; sometimes, I would go that extra mile of being a dress to kill office worker. I dress for myself, that’s enough reason why I love wearing dress, wedges, boots (on rainy days), a little bit shorter skirt and more.
Loving clothes and shoes do mean that I’m a bit of a shopaholic. I love shoes– red shoes, shoes on sale and shoes that I think would be a perfect pair for my new dress. I also love dress, especially those that would be a perfect pair for my new shoes. And then the cycle goes on. 😛
One of the few perks of being a freelance worker is that I do have a lot of time on my own which I could spend on experimenting on cooking and maybe shopping. The cooking part is still a work in progress but the shopping part has already begun. The internet my dear is the key to shopping while glued down to your seat, though I have some slight dilemma about shopping online.
Well, here’s a little background about me. Three years ago, I’m one of those too skinny girl you would see wearing extra short skirts and has no problem with what goes on inside of me. I could eat five cups of rice and never worry about weight gain (The good old days!). Yes, I’ve been there but then, the real corporate world did happen. I stopped playing soccer, I would binge eat especially when I have to do a lot of over time and I really do a lot of over time, I can now afford those ultra sugary delights and I also got a date which basically means eating out for dinner every night. Before I knew it, I gained 20 pounds and from XS dress I jumped up to Medium or to Large. I’m not really keeping tab on the size.
One of the biggest hindrance that I encountered in gaining weight is the fact that I’m not really sure what my size is and it’s a big problem if I would go online to shop some dress. Luckily, I was able to discover Zalora.
Zalora is an online store in which they are offering a lot of clothes, shoes and accessories. They have a lot of brands to choose from and fashionable designs to drool over. Add to this the fact that they do have fast delivery service, a Cash On Delivery option in paying and a 30-day free return policy. I love the Cash on Delivery payment option because it’s more secure than the rest. The 30-day free return policy do guarantee quality in their products, if I don’t like the product because it has some issues, I can ship it back to them– for free. How cool can that be?
The thing I love the most about this online shop is the size description that they provide for each product –they are really accurate. They also have a fit visualizer where I can input the size of my own dress and it will check if it’s the same or not. That’s a guarantee that the dress would really fit me.
My purchase are these two:
And here’s me, wearing them:
I’m not as skinny as the models but their garments really do fit me well and I love it.
